Blessings and Challenges
Missions Ministries has seen so much change in the colonias over the last 28 years.  Blessing received and blessings passed on as we continue the work in an area that needs hope, love, and the gospel message.  As in any task in life, challenges present themselves along the way.  Please pray with us as governmental changes, community needs, and ministry challenges are ever present.  I Peter 5:7 says, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Blessed with a VAN!
Many know of the women's shelter run by Pastor Fransisco and his wife.  Families come and go as they transition through difficulties in life.   Mothers go to work and children go to school.  There has always been a need to transport these families as they rebuild their lives.  Thanks  to two generous donations a 2007 Chevy 15 passenger van was purchased for the sole purpose of helping these families.  The hands and feet of Jesus can be seen in many ways.
Blessed with COMPUTERS!

As we all know technology changes faster than most of us can keep up.   Computers within a few years run slowly, break down, need updating.  Through two different means, a grant and a company, the libraries received 20 new/used computers.  Each was equipped with a new solid state hard drive, increased RAM, and updated software.  What an immense difference it has made.
And the blessing didn't stop there, the old computers were passed to our sponsored college students, teachers who are studying in university, and pastors in need.

Various orphanages have been inspected in the area and the government has temporarily closed them for various violations.  Bethel has been included in these inspections and is experiencing many challenges.  Please pray for them or if you feel led to help financially you can give through our website.  Both monthly and special gifts are needed.

Employment law is a challenge in Mexico.  Missions Ministries has worked with local staff for many years.  As with any organization challenges arise.  Please pray that God will work in the hearts of staff to keep a heavenly focus on all that we do.

Our staff highlight for this month requires no introduction! Leo Pineda Salinas has worked for Missions Ministries for 26 years and currently serves as a staff leader in Mexico and our liaison with the local pastors. "My favorite part of my job is working alongside the groups, being able to help them in whatever way I can, and spending time with them." In his free time, Leo enjoys reading and spending time with his three grandsons and one granddaughter.
