PRSA National Proposed Bylaw Amendments

Prior to this year's PRSA International Conference in Atlanta, delegates representing the Colorado Chapter will attend the annual PRSA Assembly and vote on two proposed amendments to the PRSA Bylaws. You may have seen surveys on social media to gain your feedback on these proposed amendments or you may have been called by our chapter delegates.

To learn more about the proposed amendments and why they're important, please check out these blog posts from PRSA Colorado’s own Jane Dvorak, APR, Fellow PRSA. (http://prsay.prsa.org/index.php/2015/10/07/associate-members-are-prsas-future/)

Why SMART Dues Matter: (http://prsay.prsa.org/index.php/2015/09/30/why-smart-dues-matter/)

The two-question survey is available here. For additional information, you can find the complete documents at http://bit.ly/1R08q3H.

Board Nominations

The PRSA Colorado nominating committee is pleased to announce candidates for the chapter's 2016 board of directors.

For the second straight year, the lineup includes more candidates than open positions, which requires a ballot at our annual meeting. PRSA Colorado members will vote at the Nov. 4 luncheon program, and the 2016 board will be announced at the conclusion of the program.

Among our candidates for the 2016 board are five who hold APR designation. All have previous committee, board or chapter leadership experience and three are running for a second term.

The candidates:
President-elect - Renee Robinson, APR
Secretary - Suzanne Trantow

Assembly Delegate (Choose 2)
-Teresa Dougherty, APR
-Elisabeth Monaghan, APR
-Diane Mulligan, APR

Director (Choose 3)
-Deborah Deal-Blackwell, APR
-Michelle Ellis

The nominating committee applauds and thanks each of the candidates for their past and current chapter service and for their willingness to take on a new leadership role.
