Gold Pick Industry and Special Awards: Don't Miss Friday's Early Bird Deadline!
Is your PR campaign the diamond in the rough? You worked hard last year to represent your company, industry and clients well by creating outstanding public relations campaigns. Now it’s time to shine. Submit your work now for the 2018 Gold Pick Awards, PRSA Colorado’s premier event recognizing outstanding achievement from our community of practitioners.
The early submission deadline is this Friday, March 2. After this date, prices for award submissions will increase by $85. The final deadline to submit nominees for the Gold Pick awards is Friday, March 9.
To make the submission process as easy as possible, we’ve created a step-by-step guide. You can also find a full list of rules, details and award categories on the PRSA Colorado website.
You can also nominate an individual or PR team for one of PRSA Colorado’s Gold Pick Special Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement for the rookie of the year, chapter service award, mentor of the year and PR team of the year. Gold Pick and Special Award winners will be announced on Thursday, May 10, at the Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House in downtown Denver. Mark your calendars now, and watch this space for additional event details soon!

We all watched in horror as the news unfolded in the tragic officer shooting in Douglas County—what Sheriff Tony Spurlock called “an ambush-type of attack”—that killed a deputy and wounded four law enforcement officers on December 31 of last year. Local and national news scrambled to cover the scenes and first responders sprang into action. Also springing into action was Douglas County Lead Public Information Officer and Social Media Coordinator, Lauren LeKander, who had to activate the communications crisis incident plan to make sure accurate and timely information was being shared with the public during this tragedy, while managing an active crime scene. Please join us March 7th, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the PPA Event Center, to hear Douglas County Sheriff’s Lauren LeKander go over a play-by-play of when the incident started unfolding and the strategies they employed to manage the communications.

Disrupt Bias Drive Value Webinar
