Gott’s Notes

Over the years, I have watched from a distance as various hurricanes have hit the US. Many of you have experienced several directly. This is my first official one. It is a very strange feeling watching everything play out over many days. While the school had little damage and my home survived just fine, I know that is not the case for many. If you are one of those who suffered property damage or any financial strain, please let me know. We have several folks who want to help in any way we can. That’s what families do.

All of this serves as a reminder that the most important things in life aren’t things. I am thankful for the connection I feel with each of you. It is funny that while I was spending time back in KY and TN with my immediate family, I was constantly thinking about my school family back here. In the midst of all of chaos and craziness, both natural and manmade, I find a level of peace in knowing that we have each other’s back if needed.

Regarding make-up days, we have not been able to get all of the information needed to make a definitive decision today. As soon as we can nail all the details down, we will let everyone know.
