In the meantime, why not watch Royal Coffee's Webinar from 16 May 2020 which gives an update on what’s currently happening in Ethiopia regarding coffee purchasing. (It's clear that much has changed in the way coffee is sold in Ethiopia since the last lecture we had on the subject in 2017.)

The webinar features Royal Coffee's CEO Max Nicholas-Fulmer, East Africa Buyer and Junior Trader, Caitlin McCarthy-Garcia, and Royal Coffee Representative, Haile Andualem, who is based in Addis Ababa. Max shares a brief overview of the evolution of coffee markets in Ethiopia, provides a look back at Royal's long relationship there and Haile shares what's been happening in the birth place of coffee since the COVID-19 pandemic struck. Caitlin provides a recap of their February 2020 cupping trip to Addis and a preview of what's being shipped.

Royal Coffee is a family-owned and operated importer of specialty green coffees, serving the international roasting community, with warehouses in Oakland, Seattle, Madison, Houston and Shanghai.
