Here's one more Ethiopia related virtual event that has been advertised as happening in April.
This event is in addition to those circulated in the last April alert.
Wednesday 28 April, 13:00 BST - Project dldl/ድልድል by Centre of World Christianity, SOAS
The Centre of World Christianity have announced that Dr Romina Istratii will be speaking live from Tigray with a working paper on Project dldl/ድልድል which she is currently leading in Ethiopia, Eritrea and the UK.
Project dldl/ድልድል deals with difficult topics and issues around marriage and is based on the close collaboration with experts in Ethiopia and Eritrea, as well as other parts of the world. The project aims to capture the diversity in approaches and to communicate ways in which seminary students and future clergy are provided with training opportunities for issues such as conjugal cohabitation and domestic violence in the lives of the faithful.
Here's the link to the event, no need to book, no reminders, just log in at 13:00 BST on Wednesday - all welcome.

[Note: Romani was in the UK earlier this year so I find it very interesting that she's managed to travel to Tigray. I'm not quite sure how this event will proceed, though, as Tigray is in a severe communication lock-down at the moment. Much of Romani's research work was carried out in Aksum, but I haven't been able to make contact with anyone there for well over a week and there are reports of heavy fighting in the countryside nearby. Perhaps Romani has found some way of connecting from Mekelle?]
