And Just Like That . . .
. . . apples are back and in the coming weeks we have all sorts of fall favorites to look forward to. Check out Oakdale Farm for their crop of apples this week.
     Next week, our friends from Master Gardeners will visit the CS&E tent. Stop by and say hello to the people who can answer any and all gardening questions. (Who knew slugs love beer better than chewing hosta leaves?) 
     A note on lost and found: lost or found items can be returned/found at the Friends' tent; currently found, a lock box key.

Opening the Market
     Caitlin Coggon and Graham Correia from Freitas Farm opened the August 27
     market. Freitas Farm, located in Middleborough, founded in 1960, is now run by

     Scott Freitas, a fourth-generation member of the farming family. The farm's
     motto: "If it can be grown in Massachusetts, we grow it."
Market Seen 
     Another beautiful market day. Top left and clockwise: Rev. Noah Van Niel, curate
     at St. John the Evangelist Church, with his wife, Melinda, and one-year old son,
     VincentLouisa (8) and Joanna (6-1/2) with dad Greg Corbett (Hingham);
     Graeme (8) and Jake Monahan (5) from Scituate are ready to start the week's
     shopping; Owen, Mary Claire along with mom Carolyn Walsh (Hingham), frequent
     visitors to the HFM.
     The HFM welcomed Jean-Phillippe Scioville, marketing field associate, and
     Sannie Rocheteau, marketing specialist for the north Atlantic region, from Whole
     Foods
 last week The Whole Foods Hingham location is supporting the matching
     program for SNAP. HFM welcomes market-goers to the Friends' tent for more
     information.
