A Grace-filled Visit On Tuesday, February 4, 2020, Superior General of the Jesuits worldwide, Fr. Arturo Sosa, S.J., came from Rome to visit Seattle Nativity School as part of his tour of the Jesuits' USA West Province.
During his visit to Seattle Nativity School, Father General attended an assembly where students presented short plays with Captain Virtue based on the Jesuits' Universal Apostolic Preferences:
1. Showing the Way to God
2. Walking with the Excluded
3. Journeying with Youth
4. Caring for our Common Home
Students shared personal reflections about school and family. Fr. General spoke and asked the Seattle Nativity Community to pray for him. He thanked our students for a wonderful visit to his first Nativity School. We are grateful for Fr. Sosa, S.J., and the guidance he offers to our many ministries around the world.

School Tomorrow!" On Thursday, March 12, 2020, our students seamlessly moved from classroom to online and distance learning with our teachers. Students are hard at work at home. The online school day begins at 8am and assignments are due at 8pm, known as Nativity's 8|8.
The lessons are asynchronous and replicate the differentiated learning instruction of our physical classroom. Teachers are available for 1:1 tutoring and support through 4pm . During the week of March 2, 2020, we procured gently-used laptops and secured internet connectivity for students to work from home. We are grateful to our community for their steadfast support while our work continues to ensure students remain on track with college-preparatory academics

Feeding the Multitude
On March 20, 2020, a wonderful family arrived at Seattle Nativity School with an SUV filled with pantry items for our school families during the COVID-19 state mandated closures. Our pantry has been replenished by five different families and the St. Anne School community. It is a reminder that the power of one idea or one action can have a ripple effect. The food pantry in combination with daily lunches from Seattle Preparatory School, have helped our students and their families stay strong! We are grateful.
