WCCVA Call To Action

ACTION ALERT!

WASHINGTON COALITION OF CRIME VICTIM ADVOCATES
ACTION ALERT
2017 LEGISLATIVE SESSION

March 6, 2017

 Dear Advocates and Allied Professionals,

House Bill 1783, by Representatives Holy and Goodman, passed the House by a vote of   91-7!

This bill would make a number of modifications to legal financial obligations, but most importantly would dedicate 100% of the Victim Penalty Assessment to supporting crime victims while also prioritizing restitution.

The bill now goes to the Senate where it has been killed in years past!

We need all advocates to reach out to their Senators and encourage passage of this legislation!
