My Gay Banjo - http://www.mygaybanjo.com/
My Gay Banjo is Owen Taylor and Julia Steele Allen on guitar, banjo, uke and vocals. Singing homespun gay-themed duets and occasional queered-up mash-ups, My Gay Banjo plays songs for you and your kind. "My Gay Banjo... gives traditional country tracks a run for their money...and knows how to embrace pink eyeshadow and mustaches. Win." -After Ellen

Eli Conley - www.eliconley.com
Eli Conley is a Berkeley, California-based musician steeped in Americana music and the singer-songwriter tradition. He crafts modern day folk songs for misfits from the raw material of his life as a queer man with Virginia roots. "Oh what gorgeous, soulful music!" raved roots music innovator Laura Love, "Eli Conley's writing and singing are exquisite." Eli is on tour from the Bay Area to promote his debut studio album, At The Seams. He will be accompanied on fiddle & mandolin by Joel Price of Philly band ellipsis.

AJ Lewis - 8pm
AJ Lewis just likes to play oldtime numbers on the banjo, and occasionally some newer music too! He has a particular predilection for songs about calamities, nonhuman animals, and unusual forms of sodality. When not singing very old folk songs, he plays bass (and sometimes banjo) for Brooklyn-based queer country bands Karen & the Sorrows and Good Fences

FOXY
FOXY IS...inspiration culled from tales of a city filled with hopes and dashed dreams, love and madness and chance encounters in dark, smoky bars. It's where love is for the hell of it, or sometimes just for sale. It's where men drown in the smile from a Lolita's lips and women lose their souls in hope for love or money. FOXY's music is hard and raw, thriving on both the cosmopolitan slickness and the gritty underbelly. It's where they hang their hat and find their stock in trade. This UK, Argentinian and New York City trio as schizophrenic as the environments that spawned them - frenetic yet calm, a part of it all, yet separate - welcomes the listener to their domain. Their sound moves effortlessly from languid tunes reminiscent of torch singers in back rooms, to raw hard hitting death disco themes of night and rolls over to sex drenched rock and roll, (an easy transition due to their diverse influences). Somehow you know it shouldn't work, but it does, much like the city that serves as their canvas. Like comfortable arms their sound seduces you, familiar yet inescapably different and new, a place you want to be... If you haven't experienced FOXY yet...you'll wish you had.

Miss Massive Snowflake
Miss Massive Snowflake is a Portland, Oregon based band, performing the songs of Shane de Leon. The band has released 3 albums, 3 eps, and 2 singles on North Pole Records in the US and Wallace Records in Europe. Miss Massive Snowflake enjoys playing live and has performed over 300 shows in 8 countries. Shane de Leon was a member of experimental pop band, Rollerball/RllRBll for a decade and has played or recorded music internationally with many artists, including, 31 Knots, Black Heart Procession, Solex, Steve McKay, Bill Horist, Art of Flying, OVO, Squarcicatrici, and Ronin. Like A Book adds to Miss Massive Snowflake's expanding library of curious and clever progressive pop songs. The charismatic and playful band experiment with orchestral jazz, candy pop, and free-spirited psychedelic rock to create a unique musical vernacular. Miss Massive Snowflake marry traditional familiarities and edgy concepts with catchy energetic rock, and craft deceptively intricate songs. Like a Book blends angled radio hits, a jazz sensibililty, and boy band punk. With an emotive voice, compelling lyrics, and sounding at times like a west coast David Byrne, Bowie, or Hendrix, Shane de Leon sings short story song blasts over an adventurous mix, a sort of Flaming Lips / Minutemen mash up. There is an inspiring fire that burns through 2012's Like a Book's 10 tracks and 33 minutes. The drums and bass drive while horns punch into screwed groove guitar riffs producing beautiful, moving, and intellectually satisfying rock music. The songwriter, guitarist, and creative director, Shane de Leon, started the band in 2004 as a family recording project while still in Portland art rock collective, Rollerball. MMS's three early eps and first full length, Queen's Headache, were a mix of electronica, hip hop, and acoustic folk. In 2007 Jeanne Kennedy Crosby entered the band on bass and began moving the band towards a more rock based sound. After the sophomore album Songs about Music was released in 2010, Andy Brown (Jessamine, Fontanelle, Paint and Copter) began drumming for the band. Jacopo Andreini (L'enfance Rouge, Squarcicatrici, Tsigoti) provides horns, percussion, and tour support. Miss Massive Snowflake has played around the US regularly and toured Europe four times and has performed over 300 concerts. "Seriously, this is like a great book that you can't put down. Putting this on makes you HAVE to listen to the next song, and the next...until you're out of songs, completely jazzed... an intoxicating rock, jazzy, psyche sound. IT'S AWESOME!!! Listen!" KFJC "With MMS, it's best to expect the unexpected... I don't know what to call it, but I like it a lot." The Stranger "The kind of curious kook every staid gathering could use... a Dovid Bowie on steroids overcroon to an unaffected Calvin Johnson naivete... an off kilter sensibility - a break from the mold." Jack Rabid Big Takeover "A psychedelic anachronism projected through a contemporary pop prism" Simon Godley "The lithe complexity of the Sea and the Cake... the episodic nature of the songs makes them seem like Minuteman spurts, a pamphlet in thirty seconds... enjoyable as well as thought provoking" americana-uk.com "quirky, simple pop songs about his inability to write a book "that's any good,"... MMS never ceases to make the odd invitingly catchy." Willamette Week "15 mind blowingly exciting tracks with more anarchic wit, invention and intelligence than a decade of NME Awards tours" The Devil has the Best Tuna "Miss Massive Snowflake is the Partridge Family of weird. Quirky, simple pop songs about his inability to write a book "that's any good,"... MMS never ceases to make the odd invitingly catchy" Willamette Week "Throughout the disc you can hear shades of Zappa, Robert Wyatt, Thomas Dolby, and other people whose singular vision has given them a unique voice. " Terrascope Rumbles
