Hope you all are having a wonderful start to the week so far.
I spent most of the last week sick (stupid flu! 🤢I thought I had managed to escape you!) and actually had to cancel a few meetings and appointments I had at the end of the week. And you know what I realised? Prior to being sick I felt like I had such a full week with no room to give. But you know, you can’t schedule ‘being sick’ in your diary so when it happens, it happens. So hence, I spent days in bed and on the couch catching up on everything Netflix had to offer.
Being sick forced me to prioritise, delegate and reschedule and guess what? The whole world did not fall apart. In fact, it went along just fine. People were understanding, forgiving and so helpful about it. AND although I was forced to, I learnt that in fact I had some space in my schedule.
So here is a reminder for all of you to breathe a little more this week and try and slow down if your week is looking a little too crazy. If you need to cancel, reschedule, let go and delegate or change anything, it’s OK, everything will still be fine next week :)
On another note, I am in the process of planning online and in-person classes for 2019 and I would love to know what you’d like to learn. Feel free to reply to this email and tell me where you are from and the techniques or projects you’d like to learn from me. I always keep you guys in mind when I design anything new!
Until next time, Happy Caking!
PS. This weekend I am hosting Kelvin Chua in my Sydney Studio and although his Friday class is sold out we have a couple of spots left in his weekend classes. All the classes are 1-day classes and you will leave with the confidence to handle Royal Icing like a pro. I’ve taken classes with Kelvin before and he’s an amazing teacher and a joy to learn from.
Come join us! Class sizes are small and you’ll have plenty of time to hang out with your fellow students, me, and Kelvin :)
