From Torin Douglas, Festival partnerships co-ordinator

Dear Festival supporters,
We’re living in strange times and I hope you and your families are staying safe and well. But, as you may have read, we still look forward to holding Green Days weekend and the Bedford Park Festival in June - at the very least online.
As one of Chiswick's best-loved events, the Festival has been bringing the community together for over 50 years. We’ll make sure it does so again this year, in whatever ways are permitted in June. We can’t hold Green Days on Acton Green, but we shall do what we can on our website and other channels.

Plans are coming together well. #GreenDaysatHome will open the Festival, with lots of the usual events, albeit in a different form. There’ll be photos for the
Children's Fancy Dress Competition; a virtual Craft Fair and other events; music performances on video; and the Open Air Mass in the Vicarage garden.

The Bedford Park Festival photographic exhibition will be run that weekend by The Chiswick Calendar, online. The following weekend, we’ll be supporting Artists (Staying) At Home. And concerts, talks and the Open Gardens will take place online (depending how long the lockdown lasts), with the support of all the local media. See interview on ChiswickBuzz and report on ChiswickW4.com

The Bedford Park Festival is run by St Michael & All Angels Church in aid of charities and the church - and we couldn’t run it without the support of our commercial partners. We hope you’d like to be involved again and if you’d like to share your stories about how you’re coping with COVID-19 - let me know!
We know that local businesses have been seriously affected by COVID-19 - and lots of you are working hard to help charities and those in greatest need. We hope we can help you engage with the Chiswick community this summer - and we'd love to hear your ideas and how far you’d like to be involved.

We still intend to raise money for the St Michael’s charities - who need us more than ever - so if any partners are still able to sponsor events this year, as well as giving prizes and social media support, this will be particularly appreciated. Please send us your ideas for fund-raising events!

#BPFestivalatHome will take place from Friday June 12th to Sunday June 28th. And we are still planning for this year’s Chiswick Book Festival from Thursday September 10th to Monday 14th, subject to Government restrictions.

Thanks again for your support, and I look forward to hearing from you.
