Message from the Principal
When it gets to this time of year, I'd like to think that Dance4Life can bring the comforting knowledge that now the nights are starting to draw in and the temperature is dropping (here and there!), you can travel to a place to warm up, take your mind away from other things and study dance to fantastic music with other like minded people....I really hope this rings true for you.
Autumn/Winter 2016 Newsletter
I would also like to say a big WELL DONE to everyone that took part in exams last term. I am very proud of you all and know that you will have learned alot from the experience.
Please have a read of D4L news in this letter and I am looking forward to seeing you all soon.

New D4L Exam Policy
Dance exams are entirely optional at Dance4Life however, should you wish to take a dance exam the following policy will now apply;
Should a D4L student wish to take a dance exam it will be compulsory that they attend class twice a week in the last half term before their exam as well as attending the mock exam in the exam venue.
We hope this new policy will benefit the students wishing to take their exams by increasing their confidence in their work and the exam procedure in the exam venue which in turn will bring a positive exam experience.
Here is a glimpse into Royal Academy of Dance Ballet exams which are offered at D4L....
Dance4Life School Trip to see the ballet Sleeping Beauty
After the success of our trip to see The Nutcracker last year, we have arranged a trip for Dance4Life students and friends to go to see the ballet Sleeping Beauty at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon performed by the fabulous Russian State Ballet for one night only in on Wednesday 26th October this year (during half term).
Further details and information on how to book will be confirmed shortly.
Did you know D4L teachers complete at least 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) every year?...
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is committed to producing the best teachers in the world. The CPD scheme ensures teachers are at the forefront of dance education and training, and that they have the most up-to-date knowledge and skills.
Emma Drewett, Principal of D4L was lucky enough to observe famous Dancers, Sarah Lamb, Principal of the Royal Ballet (she was even able to get her photo taken with Sarah!- the picture below), Andrew Ward, Vanessa Fenton and Hope Keelan, Artistic Teacher & Programme Manager at White Lodge teach classes. As part of her CPD, Emma learned from the masters themselves and is looking forward to passing her knowledge on to D4L students.
Please feel free to ask your teacher what CPD they have taken this year...
