I almost ditched writing this newsletter . . .

but then I looked at my past record of over 3 years of publishing these tidbits and decided to throw something--anything--together! I laugh at my earlier newsletters in which I included writing tips and prompts. Too much work for me--and for my readers! You could always check out literary history from days past on my Newsletters page on my website for kicks and gigs.

And so, I'll keep this short. Good things keep happening despite the tragedies of this never-ending pandemic and unsettling environmental crises, and I remind myself daily to focus on the good, the positive, the creative, and the things I can do to increase these things in my life. I'm reading more, exercising more, gardening more, and learning new tech--specifically, how to draw on my iPad with an app called "procreate." I'm working through free tutorials on YouTube and am especially delighted by Let's Draw with BeeJayDel. Here's one of the many characters I drew following his process:

These will help when I'm ready to tackle illustrations for my duck book series!

I'm also capturing the positive work we're doing around the homestead. Here's my latest YouTube video in which I share my breakfast cucumber: Time to Eat Some CUKES! I do hope you'll check out many other videos on my channel as my intention with creating them is to entertain (and perhaps instruct, just a little)! Just like my ducks and veggies, anytime you see me, I won't be made up or airbrushed. Heck, I'm generally not even brushed! "Ain't nobody got time for that!"

That's that. Time to smile.

:)
