coming soon the Tales of Mr. Mouse and his friends
The Tale of Mr.Mouse and his friends.
This book is definitely out in front. I have just received it back from editing. It is the first time I have used a professional editor for any of my books but I can appreciate the difference it has made to the manuscript.
The editor has not only improved capitalisation, and sentence structure, she has pointed out areas that I changed but did not make the changes throughout. In addition she has questioned a part of a story and whether a child would understand it. This led to a rewrite which I believe has improved the whole chapter.
The manuscript suddenly feels like a book.
The next step once I sign off on the edits is typesetting, where I choose the book size, font types, and size too.
This book is being illustrated by the wonderfully talented artist Dave Smith - you can follow him on Facebook as @theartofdavidsmith or on Twitter @artofdavidsmith
You can follow the progress of The Tales of Mr.Mouse and his friends, from editing to typesetting, to publishing on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
I give this book 5 stars. A beautifully written book, set in Dublin in 1918. Men are coming home damaged from the great war and a flu pandemic is sweeping through the world, there are some similarities to today.
The main character Nurse Julia Power works the Maternity Fever ward. All the events happen over the course of three days.
Once you pick this book up you won't want to put it down.
