Hiking Cascade Falls and Lindeman Lake

We added two great new hikes to the site this month. And both can be tackled in the winter if you are prepared to navigate some snow (i.e., have yaktrax or similar footwear and are prepared for the winter conditions).

The first hike is Lindeman Lake, a popular and scenic hike in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park. At 3.4 km, it is a short hike, but well-worth the lengthy drive out to the trailhead. Lindeman Lake itself is a gorgeous, turquoise lake surrounded by dense forest and mountain peaks. Lindeman Lake is a terrific day-hiking location, and it’s also a nice camping spot

Check out Lindeman Lake here.

The second hike is Cascade Falls in Mission. Cascade Falls is a scenic waterfall which plummets 30 metres into an emerald pool. It is more of a short walk than a ‘hike’ to the viewing platform. Cascade Falls is a great off-season outing and one that is perfect for the full family. Save it for a lazy, overcast Sunday when you want to get outside but don’t feel like an epic day-hike.

Check out Cascade Falls here.

Thank you everyone for another great year. We added 14 great new hiking guides to the site this year and are looking forward to adding even more next year. Be sure to join us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to stay in touch between the monthly newsletters.

Hope everyone has a great break and we're looking forward to sharing more outdoor adventures with you in the new year!

Happy Holidays!
