Opening this week: Into the Woods
For the safety of our community, Town & Gown requires all cast and crew members to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. All audience members attending in-person shows will be required to show proof of vaccination and wear a mask whenever inside the theater.

Into the Woods
Directed By Bryn Adamson & Teresa Ruiz (music)

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece… and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

Noises Off

Writer: Michael Frayn
Director: Lucy Haskill

With their opening night on London’s West End just hours away, a cast of actors staggers through rehearsal. Just when the director thinks things couldn’t get worse—they do. With lost lines, love triangles and sardines flying, pandemonium takes over before intermission. Can the cast pull their act together both in front of the footlights and behind the curtain? A love-letter to the thrilling and unpredictable nature of the stage, Noises Off will leave you rolling in the aisles as everything that could go wrong, does go wrong.

Audition Dates:

April 25, 2022   7:00pm – 9:00pm
April 26, 2022   7:00pm – 9:00pm

Arms and the Man

Writer: George Bernard Shaw
Director: Fran Teague

George Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man is Shaw’s funniest play. Lovely Raina idealizes her fiancé, a heroic soldier, despises the enemy soldier who begs her to save his life. After the war, both the enemy and her fiancé return. Raina meets them both with arguments that spark and love-making that sparkles. Laughs and ideas battle it out for the lady’s favor.

May 14, 2022   8:00pm
May 15, 2022  2:00pm

Second Stage shows often feature new or local playwrights and properties, and are performed in the same space as our Mainstage series.  Second Stage Series productions operate on a small budget and have only one or two weeks in the theater. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for second stage contact

We are looking for ushers help with the upcoming performances of Into the Woods. To attend a Town & Gown performance, all volunteers and audience members must provide proof of vaccination, with the final shot occurring at least 2 weeks before the performance they wish to attend.  Also, you will need to wear a mask while indoors. Volunteers will receive a code for one complimentary ticket to an upcoming show.

The Board Member on Duty will be checking vaccination cards for these performances so we would need a vaccinated usher to help guide guests to their seats. If you meet these requirements and would like to help please sign up by clicking the link below!

We look forward to working with you again!
