Hospital for Hope is Healing Communities

Hospital for Hope started over ten years ago with a mission to provide hospital services in Jharkhand one of the poorest states in India.  The closest hospital for the Jagriti Vihara community was 3 hours by car or bus and at least a days’ walk.  With your donations, partnerships and volunteer efforts the Hospital has been built, there is now a doctor, nurse and pharmacist for the commmunity.  There is an ambulance to address emergencies, and now for a population of 100,000 that had essentially had no access to health care, Hospital for Hope services  1200+ Patient visits a month.

We were founded on the idea of using partners to achieve greater good.  Through partnerships, we have architected and built the hospital, added solar lights, received medical goods and created plans for administering the hospital and hope one day to build a maternity ward.  We are built on partnerships, and hope to continue building partnerships so the hospital can continue to thrive!
