Proud to introduce: 400G!

Only days after implementing RPKI at our Internet Exchanges to make the Internet a safer place, we are taking the next step of our technological progress: DE-CIX is now the first IX worldwide to offer 400-Gigabit Ethernet access technology! 400-GE Nokia line cards are now available in DE-CIX Frankfurt, and the technology will be made available at further DE-CIX locations.

In addition, we report on our new partnership with Seaborn, connecting Seabras-1 customers in South America with DE-CIX New York, our new service DirectROUTES, and many more topics.

RPKI-based origin validation successfully deployed at DE-CIX

Since March, RPKI-based origin validation is deployed at all DE-CIX route servers. Through implementing this technical solution, we have increased the Internet routing security by reducing the danger of route hijacks. After enabling RPKI-based origin validation, we closely monitored route servers and had a look at how many routes were accepted and how many were filtered out.
