Egypt's first female ship captain Marwa Elselehdar says 'blamed for blocking Suez Canal'
Egypt's pioneering ship captain has been targeted over false rumours about her role in the incident. Marwa Elselehdar, who was working as a first mate in command on a ship hundreds of miles away in Alexandria at the time of the blockage said rumours have circulated online saying she was to blame after last month, the Ever Given became stuck in the Suez Canal, bringing a large proportion of the world’s shipping to a halt.

Study declares AOC one of the least effective members of Congress
The Center for Effective Lawmaking recently released its effectiveness scores for members of the 116th Congress, which ran from January 2019 to 2021. Legislative effectiveness scores are determined through a combination of 15 different metrics, including how many bills a lawmaker sponsors, how far the bill goes through Congress and how substantial or significant the bill is. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nancy Pelosi ranked No. 230 and 237 respectively out of the 240 House Democrats, while Jim Jordan, R-Ohio ranked No. 202 out of 205 House Republicans.
