Make Your Voice Heard!
Pennsylvania is home to thousands of LGBTQIA+ residents, and the state has become a leader in measuring disparities impacting our community’s wellness. Since 2015, a growing network of LGBTQIA+ organizations have helped collect data about our community’s health needs and barriers to care.
We are currently collecting data for the 2022 Pennsylvania LGBTQ Health Needs Assessment. The anonymous survey is available in English and Spanish, and those who complete it have the option to be entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift card afterwards. Special efforts are being made to encourage participation from underrepresented parts of our community, including LGBTQIA+ youth, older adults, people of color, members of rural communities, and transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. We hope to promote a better understanding of the unique experiences of members throughout the LGBTQIA+ community across Pennsylvania.
Every person who completes the survey will be helping fuel community-based programs designed to close gaps in service and address health disparities. Together we will build a stronger, healthier community.
Take the time to raise your voice for LGBTQIA+ health and be entered in a raffle to win a gift card now at bit.ly/2022PANA. Puedes participar en español aquí: bit.ly/2022PANA_S.

Programs Committee Update
Hi everyone, my name is Brittaney DeArmond (she/hers) and I am the new Programs Chair here at the Rainbow Rose Center. I live in York County with my wonderful wife Katherine and bonus daughter Morgan. I look forward to helping and giving back to not only my community, but the community that is nearest and dearest to my heart! I look forward to hitting the ground running this year. To kick it off 2022, we are offering a unique opportunity for our All Adult Identities Group with the folks from Tenfold in Lancaster, PA. Tenfold is a Non-Profit organization that helps achieve fair and equitable housing for ALL. This event will be held on February 22, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Check out the flyer below!

Look out for more info on our website and Facebook page! To learn more about Tenfold and what they have to offer, check out their website at https://wearetenfold.org/.

There are Plenty of Volunteer Opportunities!
By volunteering with the Rainbow Rose Center, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact in our beautiful community. Volunteering also presents the chance to meet and bond with likeminded LGBTQIA+ folx and allies! We need help with day to day activities, and we're also looking for committee members to directly influence the direction of the organization. There are so many ways to get involved as a volunteer at the Rainbow Rose Center, and we have opportunities for volunteers of all ages! Each volunteer adds value to our organization, and we greatly cherish each individual that dedicates time to help our cause.
