Welcome to The Rainbow Connection! A monthly newsletter highlighting programs, upcoming events, and more, brought to you by Rainbow Rose Center, serving York County's LGBTQIA+ Community.

|

Today, the Rainbow Rose Center asks for your support during Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving.
A donation today shows your commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community in York and provides the funding to meet one of our main goals – to set up services in a physical space.
You may have known us from the I.D.E.A.S. Center, where there was an office space for anyone to come and find resources, talk to someone, and enjoy fellowship. This space was lost in May of 2020.
You and the LGBTQIA+ community have told us how important having a place to go is:
- To talk to an understanding Resource Specialist,
- To find out welcoming businesses, churches, and organizations to the LGBTQIA+ community, and;
- To meet with other LGBTQIA+ individuals in support groups and for fun.
Your gift to the Rainbow Rose Center will help us find a space where we can do all this and more. This is done through your generous contribution and that of others who believe that York County can create an environment of inclusion, equity, and health where all LGBTQIA+ community members thrive.
A donation, of any amount, helps bring a physical office space one step closer to reality. Thank you for your dedication to the LGBTQIA+ community and for your support of the Rainbow Rose Center.

Send Your Lawmakers A Holiday Greeting For Equality
Fifty percent of LGBTQIA+ people live in the 29 states that lack comprehensive statewide laws explicitly prohibiting discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people, so we're doing everything we can to change that. The Equality Act would provide consistent and explicit anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQIA+ people across the nation, and it is currently awaiting a vote in the Senate.
You can help us make the Equality Act the law of the land by sending a holiday greeting to your senators today! It only takes a few minutes and it's important to let your senators know that you care about this piece of legislation and want it passed as soon as possible.
Send your lawmaker a holiday greeting encouraging them to make federal nondiscrimination protections a high priority in 2022.
Get started here!
It only takes a few minutes.
