As we pass the one-year mark of pandemic restrictions, you're probably ready for a fresh start and the promise of spring. This quarter's newsletter offers you a number of resources to keep your energy up to help families in our community or your organization.

Learning from Hoosier partners

Although Central Indiana has many child care programs, pockets of child care deserts still exist throughout our three-county area. If this story inspires you to do the same for your local community, we can help! Fill out our Community Info Form to get connected today.

Partner Spotlight

Child Care Answers was thrilled to receive a $25,000 grant from PNC. We recently awarded all of these funds through the Backing Birth to 5 grant for child care providers. High need programs were invited to apply - those located in the PNC Bank service area, in a child care desert, and in a zip code with a high closure rate.

Team Member Updates

We are thrilled to welcome our new Relationship Growth Specialist, India Green. India joins us from the Department of Children's Services and brings experience working with legislators in Tennessee. Her work includes educating local employers and policymakers on the importance of child care to Central Indiana's economy and working families.

We are also looking for volunteers with experience in finance to join our board. If you or someone you know would be interested, please contact Program Director Mollie Smith at mollies@childcareanswers.com.

Central Indiana Alliance for Working Families

In collaboration with the Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) Network, Chances and Services for Youth (CASY), and The Child Care Resource Network (TCCRN) we are building the Central Indiana Alliance for Working Families

This alliance, made up of local community stakeholders in Central Indiana, leverages CCR&R resources to educate policymakers in local township government, as well as private sector employers. We are excited to continue our advocacy work at the local level to promote the importance of early childhood education for all. Contact India at indiag@childcareanswers.com to get connected. Learn more...
