On behalf of the volunteer board members of the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, we would like to express our deepest thanks for your support. SCBC would not be here without you and we are truly grateful for your investment in our mission.
Studies on the benefits of cycling are too numerous to list - from improved fitness and well-being to reduced congestion and air pollution. We all have our reasons for cycling, but simply put, we feel good when we ride a bicycle and there is no better form of transportation for our health and planet.
Our mission is to make cycling not only the first choice of transportation in Sonoma County, but the easy and safe choice.
SCBC is working daily to ensure safe routes to schools, work and play are a part of every planning decision and capital improvement project. We are pushing for the infrastructure and bike facilities to safely connect our neighborhoods and communities countywide.
With your help, we will continue to fight for the needs of cyclists - whether 8 or 80+ years old - so that more and more adults and children can discover the freedom and simple pleasures of cycling. With our health and climate at stake, what better legacy can we leave behind for our children and grandchildren?
