Bay Trail Sears Point Connector
Public Meeting August 30, 6:30-8:30 pm

Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall
126 1st Street West, Sonoma, CA 95476

Join Sonoma County Parks for a discussion about the Bay Trail Sears Point Connector. The Parks Department is preparing feasibility study and preliminary engineering analysis for an approximately one-mile connection between the existing Eliot Trail and the Tolay/Tubbs Island Trail at Sears Point in southeast Sonoma County. The trail options being considered would cross the Upper Tolay Lagoon that is currently being restored. The trail connection would be located adjacent to Highway 37, just east of Arnold Drive/Highway 121 and the Sonoma Raceway.  [Read more...]

Bicycling Prohibited through The Villages
at Wild Oak: Please Walk Your Bike!

The Sonoma County Superior Court recently ruled that Timber Springs Drive and the Pedestrian and Emergency Vehicle Easement that traverses The Villages at Wild Oak are for pedestrian use only. Cyclists may still legally use these facilities if they dismount and walk their bike as pedestrians; however, failure to do so will constitute trespassing.

We ask that you please abide by the court’s ruling. When we are on our bikes, we are all ambassadors for cycling. It is through responsible behavior, cooperation and acts of good will that we will continue to the grow the bicycling movement and build strong community and electoral support for bike-friendly infrastructure investments and policies.
