Take the Survey to Help Inform Caltrans District 4 Bike Plan
Caltrans is developing a Bicycle Plan for Bay Area District 4, which includes Sonoma County, to improve bicycling on and across the State-owned transportation network. The District 4 Bicycle Plan builds on the California State Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan and complements regional and local planning efforts to help create a connected, comfortable, and safer bicycle network for the Bay Area. Caltrans has released a brief survey to provide District 4 residents an opportunity to help shape the bicycle networks within our local communities and the Bay Area region. You can complete the survey here. To learn more about the District 4 Bicycle Plan and to sign up for updates, visit www.dot.ca.gov/d4/bikeplan.

Join the Biker Chicks on Our Next Ride: Saturday, Feb 25
Is your road bike sitting in the garage collecting dust? Does riding in a group look like fun, but a little intimidating? Is one of your personal goals to make more female friends? If any of these apply to you, or someone you know, the Biker Chicks might be the perfect solution.
The Chicks are a team of women cyclists dedicated to getting more women out road riding. We’ll provide coaching and support if you’re new to riding in a group, or want to improve your road riding skills. And, best of all, you’ll be doing it with like-minded ladies looking to have fun out there!
Our rides are “no-drop”, which means that no one is left behind. There are two routes; a short 12 to 15 mile ride and a longer one up to 25 miles, usually with a coffee stop during, and often after, the ride to encourage socializing if you don’t get enough during the rolling conversation (ride)!
We roll the fourth weekend of each month, Saturday or Sunday at 10:00 am. Our next ride is on Saturday, February 25. Come join us, and take the mystery and fear out of road riding. Your friends are waiting for you!
