Tell the Next President: Trails Connect Us

President-elect Trump has identified infrastructure as key to his plans to strengthen the health and economy of the nation. We need to make it clear that bike and pedestrian trails should be an important part of that plan.

Join SCBC and Rails to Trails in signing the petition to urge the next president to make sure trails, walking and biking are key parts of transportation investments.

Book a Smart Cycling Class for Your Staff, Colleagues, or Students

Want to encourage your co-workers, colleagues, parents, or students to try bicycling for transportation or recreation – or just provide them with information on how to bicycle safely and confidently?

Fear and/or lack of knowledge about safe bicycling can be a barrier for some, and the SCBC/SRTS program wants to help break that barrier down. Our expert League of American Bicyclist Certified instructors are available to teach classes, conduct presentations, and/or lead discussions for groups of adults, teens or children, anywhere in Sonoma County, whether it is a school, workplace, church, or other organization. We will customize a class to suit your desired focus, time, space, and number of participants. Please contact Tina Panza to request a class session.

New Pump Track Coming to Santa Rosa's Northwest Community Park!

If it passes the scheduled inspection, the long-awaited bicycle pump track at Northwest Community Park in Santa Rosa is set to open next week! The new track is thanks to the efforts of a group of devoted community volunteers.

Through an agreement with the Recreation and Parks Department, the volunteer group was granted permission to construct the pump track to the east of the dog park. Prior to construction, the group donated an approved plan and necessary permit requirements to build the pump track.

Give to What You Love: Help Shape Sonoma County into the Best Place to Ride

For more than a decade, SCBC has been working hard to make Sonoma County the best and safest place to ride a bike for transportation and recreation.

  • We provide bike safety and education classes to children, adults and families. We give away free and low-cost helmets to those in need. We provide the tools necessary to feel confident and safe while on your bike.

  • We advocate for more and better bicycle infrastructure. This means more trails and bike lanes to get you safely to your destination, and secure bike parking once you arrive.

  • We are your voice at the table on bicycle issues. We advocate for you. And because we represent you, we are able to deliver tangible, on-the-ground results. These results mean a better experience for all of us: cyclists, parents and community members.

Will you help us make Sonoma County the best place to ride a bike by providing a tax-deductible gift today?
