To do list for this week:

(1) Donate your spare bike to help Valley Fire Victims!
(2) Ride Tour de Vine this weekend to support bike advocacy in Sonoma and Napa Counties!
What: Bike Drive for Lake County Fire Victims
When: Today through Friday, October 9
What you can do:
Think of what you would take as a massive wildfire came roaring towards your home. Kids, pets, personal records, photos and that's about it. Many of our friends in Lake County lost everything, including their bicycle. We're helping with a bike drive for victims of the fires in Lake County. Bicycles will really help people get around in places like Middletown. We need bikes, skateboards and scooters in good working condition. They don't have to be pristine, but they must be reliable and functional. We really need bikes for kids and skateboards. The Bike Coalition office at 750 Mendocino Avenue, Suite 6 in Santa Rosa will be open until 8:00pm every night this week to make it easy to bring your donation by after dinner. Any questions, give us a call at (707) 545-0153 or send an email to gary@bikesonoma.org. Of course your donation of a bike, board or scoot is tax-deductible.
Thanks!.

What: Napa Tour de Vine
When: Saturday, October 10
Why: A great ride for both families and hard core riders where 100% of your entry fee benefits Napa and Sonoma Bicycle Coalitions!
Looking for an opportunity to bike ride through the beautiful Napa vineyards and benefit two fantastic bicycle causes? Then sign up today for the 2nd Annual Tour de Vine, a family-friendly ride on Saturday, Oct. 11 benefiting the Napa County and Sonoma County Bicycle Coalitions, in partnership with Whole Foods Market Napa, Carneros Brewing, and Ceja Vineyards. Napa Bike Coalition has generously offered to share proceeds with us based on how many people with Sonoma County Addresses sign up for the ride! In exchange, we are helping to promote the event and providing medical sag support through our VeloMed.
The 32-mile bike ride begins in Napa at Whole Foods Market and heads out to Carneros Brewing south of the city of Sonoma. It’s 32-mile loop with an optional section over Dry Creek and Mt Veeder roads for those who feel that a little suffering is part of a great ride. At Carneros Brewing, cyclists will enjoy lunch, live music, and family-friendly games. The cost to register is $40 and you get a free t-shirt in addition to food and drink!
Let’s help both of our bicycle coalitions and sign up today!
