This has been and very difficult year for me personally and I am grateful I was able to devote my time and attention to my husband and family during our crisis. I am also grateful that my GPS family stepped in and stepped up to keep everything going while I was away. It truly shows we can depend on each other in times of need and give our attention and love where it is needed most.I so appreciate all your calls, cards. flowers and messages of love and support as I lost my best friend and soul mate.He loved GPS and all of you so much and was our biggest cheerleader and fan throughout our journey. He will continue to be my inspiration as I work with our leadership to be all we can be for our membership. We can surely honor him and his memory with renewed action and efforts to always strive to make sure we are following his example of devotion and dedication. Thank you all so much and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Where does the money go??? Here are some of the programs and events we provide with your dues and fund raising dollars. Your executive board decides on monies spent and allocates funding for each one as needed.
Our fund raisers/dues income have partially or completely funded the following:
All mixers including food, drinks,decorations, venue fees and (if needed) speaker fees
Maintaining Chapter leader manuals
Paying a back office assistant to populate and monitor the new GPS App
Paying a back office assistant to maintain GPS website
Subsidizing the Annual Awards banquet to keep the ticket prices low
Banquet supplies, flowers,decorations, awards, printing, plaques, gifts, DJ
Mixer prizes (attendance)
GPS Store merchandise
GPS Flyers and Cards
Fundraiser supplies
Annual Expo supplies, sign cards, hole punches, balloons, tents, tables as needed

There is a section on the website where you can register for a Grand Opening, Anniversary or Ribbon Cutting for your business. This event will be promoted on the website, and the business owner will get recognition for her business. Whether you operate your business from home OR are in a building, you will benefit from this GPS member service. The easiest and best fund raising idea EVER!! Each chapter is challenged to begin collecting coins from your members at your chapter meetings. The contest runs until November 19th. MidFirst bank has pledged to match our donations up to $1000 at the Fall Expo with their Coin Truck. If we collect over $2000 they wil kick in another $250. All these funds go back into GPS to make our events and programs even better and more exciting for YOU!! The winning chapter will receive a prize to be named later.You can use your current coin boxes or create a new one. We began collecting coins on Aug 1st. The coins collected can be supplemented by any chapter fund raisers. Coin boxes will be voted on at the expo in November. Our goal is to beat last year's total by $500.
