We're On YouTube!

We recently added a YouTube Channel to our social media offerings. You may have seen some of our videos in the past - now they are all in one, easy-to-find spot.

We have also added two new videos. Our Lacquer Specialists get many requests for their help in achieving a high-gloss finish on wood surfaces. While we would love for you to attend one of our Mirka Buffing Seminars, we know that 's not always possible, so we worked with our Mirka Abrasive Reps to show you just that in a few simple steps. Download a copy of Mirka's SOP for High Gloss Wood Finishing to follow along.

We have also added a short overview of one of our newest products- L&S Lighting. This gives you an overview of the main lighting components, applications, and the opportunity to see just how easy "Plug and Play Installation" really is.

If you have video ideas or there is something else you would like to see, email us, contact your Local Salesperson or utilize any of our Social Media outlets-

We will be adding more videos in the near future, so check back soon!

Introducing: Symphony From Avonite

Avonite Surfaces recently launched its new Symphony collection. The six new solid surface designs are reminiscent of natural stone, with random patterns and movement similar to that seen in nature. The new colors were inspired by the majesty of marble concert halls and opera houses, and the unique patterns can also be custom-colored to match any design needs. Our Sales Reps and Surfacing Product Specialists will be updating sample boxes over the next few months. Please contact them for pricing and availability of this collection.

Arborite Launches 2014 Collection at NeoCon

Arborite unveiled its brand new 2014 Collection at NeoCon in Chicago, June 9-11. The collection features 25 unique patterns that are right in step with today’s top design trends including: industrial chic; soft, tactile effects; muted tones; bright colors; and contemporary wood looks. As with all of Arborite’s high-pressure laminates, patterns from the 2014 Collection are available in a variety of Standard and Premium textures to suite a range of interior applications.

Patterns from the 2014 Collection include:

American Elm features dark woods and rich colors that feel time-honored, trustworthy and confident. American Elm is available in two colors: Noir and Fumed.

elm seriesElm is classic, easy going, versatile—able to fit into polished, upscale interiors as well as more rugged, industrial environments. Known for its signature interlocking grain, the pattern combines a quarter cut straight grain with a hint of cathedral to create a striped pattern with the perfect amount of movement. Elm is available in two colors, Winter and Summer, which were inspired by fumed woods and a hint of ombré.

Modern Cherry is a fresh take on one of the most commonly specified wood grains in North America. The largely straight grain has been revitalized in both the structure of the figure and the color range. The four new color options include—Blonde, Mocha, Auburn and Arabica.

Nuno draws inspiration from the soft, tactile effect of fabric. Nuno features an updated, sophisticated look with a loosened weave to create a friendly and soothing yet timeless pattern. Nuno is available in four neutral tones: Glacé, Clay, Pearl and Oyster.

Ruched pays homage to the spirit of construction. Named after a fabrication technique for pleating or gathering pieces of fabric, Ruched features gentle folds, creating an undulating pattern that appears to flow across the surface. Chiffon is the newest addition to the Ruched line.

Safari embodies the spirit of wild grasses—from the pampas of South America and African savannahs to the prairies of North America. The non-directional and slightly wild pattern is tamed by the fine scale to create a natural, organic and rustic yet refined design. Stone is the latest and lightest hue in the Safari line to create a versatile color scheme.

sulawesiSulawesi is named after an island in Indonesia— only one of three places where teak is native. Elegant and spirited, the lively straight grain marries the color play of string cloth and grass cloth with the refinement of a wood grain. Unlike genuine teak, Sulawesi can be used liberally, without impacting a single endangered forest. Sulawesi is available in two colors: Dunes and Hazel.

twillTwill combines the warmth of fabric with the playful nature of graphics to create a friendly and visually soft surface. Twill is a versatile pattern, suited for even formal environments. With seven color options ranging from vibrant to neutral, it can be used as a background texture or pulled into the forefront for a friendly, confident effect.

Urban blends the architectural coolness of concrete with the softness of fabric for a refined and industrial-chic effect. The stark look of concrete is tempered by the impression of a fine, woven texture. Available in two contrasting hues—Day and Night—Urban displays a confident pairing of tactile appeal and restrained elegance.

We will be updating sample binders, chains, and boards over the next few months. Contact us for more information on pricing and availability.
