Cool & Soothing

There is something so healing and soothing to the soul when we slow down. Becoming very still, listening to the sound of our breath, the beating of our heart. This is where the magic happens. This is where Yoga lives. From the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 1:2 yogash citta vrtti nirodha or Yoga is the cessation of the mind-stuff. When the mind is calm, this is Yoga. 
The concept of quieting the mind often feels fleeting outside of traditional practices: asana, meditation and pranayama. Yet these moments are continuously available to us. This month I challenge you, as I challenge myself to seek out these moments. These empowering moments of stillness, presence and calm. To slow the world down and allow the beautiful magic of this life to unfold.   

I hope you can join me this month for my next At Home Retreat: A cool & soothing flow. A beautiful slow flow and intention setting practice for right now. As always, the recording will be provided to all those who register. 


It’s time to soften in. To connect to ourselves on the deepest level. Slowing down, listening, honouring our Self. A cool & soothing flow will guide us through both strengthening and stretching the body at a slower pace. Reducing excess heat and tension from the body and exploring a beautiful meditation in movement. Explore moon salutations, breath practices to cool the body and a meditation to soothe your soul. The ultimate self-care and self-love retreat experience from the comfort of your own home. 

For this AT HOME RETREAT, we will explore:
1. A Yang and Yin based slow flow practice (strength + stretch)
2. Moon Salutations
3. A soul soothing meditation

All you need is a Yoga mat, a blanket and a bit of space to create your sanctuary. Create some ambience with your favourite incense or essential oils. Yoga experience isn’t required. 

Retreat Date: Saturday, July 18th 11:00am – 12:30pm EST Once your $20 CAD ticket is purchased you will receive an email asking you to download a .pdf with the video link for zoom. 

A recording of the live practice will be sent to those registered post event.

So lovely; so impressive! This was a really wonderful workshop. It caused an immediate and sustained shift (emotional/psychological/physical) that is exactly aligned with the expressed goals for the practice. I can't say I've ever noticed such a clear cause and effect connection, that was so on target, in my yoga practice before. For the student, it's one kind of magical--but it's also compelling evidence of Lisa's great expertise as a teacher.

So Powerful! I have participated in Lisa’s classes both in person and virtually, so I knew it would be an inspiring and thoughtful practice. I had no idea how powerful the psoas release would be. I came away feeling so renewed, and with a sense that I had left a lot of the weight that I had been carrying with me back on my mat. It was an emotional and physical release I did not realize I needed and has really and truly set me free.
