Help us restock our winter supplies
View this email in your browser
Dear Supporters,

You may have read about the recent fire at a Venice Storage Unit where five firefighters were injured. Everyone here at SPY wishes these brave first responders a speedy recovery.

SPY had been renting space in this facility (generously provided by the folks at Rock, Paper, Scissors Productions) and sadly our loss is substantial. Our entire inventory of donations and winter clothing graciously donated throughout the year by our supporters, is gone. Warm jackets, sleeping bags, undergarments, socks, hygiene products, shirts, gloves, hats, etc. were damaged beyond repair by the fire.

The colder winter months are nearly upon us. Obviously, the timing could not have been worse.

This is a loss of essential items offered to the youth SPY is committed to serving. We (urgently) need your help.

Please, if you have any warm clothing or hygiene products, we ask that you extend again your graciousness and donate them so SPY can continue to provide vital assistance during the coming months.

For those who have generously donated in the past, I cannot thank you enough!  We ask that you check for any additional surplus items you may have that can replace those lost in this tragic fire. Articles received will go directly to restocking the lost inventory of supplies. Any monetary funds will go directly to SPY's Drop-In Center Services.

Please visit our website to donate. Contact us at info@safeplaceforyouth.org for information about dropping off donations or with any other questions.

Thank you in advance for your kind support.

Sincerely,

Alison Hurst
Founder & Executive Director
