Your To-Do-List for the Next 500 Days!

Today there are exactly 500 days left to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)! We want to highlight the success stories and raise our voices for the challenges that remain for women and girls around the world.
Here are 10 things you can do...

1. Join the conversation using #MDGMomentum!

The world has made important progress toward eradicating extreme poverty and hunger worldwide, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Throughout the day today and in these next 500 days, we will be joining a worldwide digital conversation on the MDGs and how we can improve lives.

2. Watch: Why Men Matter to Improve Maternal & Newborn Health

Girls' Globe, Promundo, MenCare and Men Engage invite you to join a Google+ Hangout on the important role men have to accelerate progress for women's and children's health.

August 18, 9am ET / 3pm CET

3. Chat with us! How can youth promote gender equality?

Girls' Globe is leading a Twitter chat on how youth are essential in stepping up progress for gender equality and women's empowerment! Join in using #MDGMomentum.

August 18, 11am ET / 5pm CET

4. Be inspired by our bloggers!

We have an amazing global network of young women who raise their voices for the rights and health of women and girls - that's why we've started a new video interview series! Check it out.

5. Mark the improvements!

Did you know that the world has actually become a better place for women and girls since the launch of the MDGs? We want to celebrate success and the changemakers behind progress!

6. #ShowYourSelfie with the world!

#ShowYourSelfie is a visual petition with a difference. It's a platform to bring young people together, amplify and empower them to be seen and have their voices heard. We cannot allow history's biggest generation of young people to be invisible. So join in and #ShowYourSelfie to the world!

7. Hold our leaders accountable!

You can do this in person at events, through Twitter, via email and by sending a letter. Let them know what action you want to see in your community and in the world! Become a Global Citizen and get some more great tips!

8. #Commit2Deliver for women and girls worldwide!

Girls' Globe is joining the Every Woman, Every Child initiative as they ask organizations, governments, individuals and civil society to #Commit2Deliver for women and children. Add your voice too!

Listen to our Podcasts and watch our Instagram interviews.

9. Write a blog post or an article in a local newspaper.

Use your voice to raise awareness and educate others! Tell us what action you want to see for women and girls around the world.
