Kia ora koutou Te Kura o Taitonga
Welcome back to everyone - it’s great to see everyone back and carrying on with our new norm. We welcome Kat back from maternity leave and sincerely thank Nic for stepping in. The good news is Nic will stay on with us for a couple of days a week until the end of year. For me personally, it’s great to be back - many thanks for your kind thoughts and wishes while I was away.
Just two very important notices for you today to action please:
- Compulsory Child/Parent/Teacher Reporting Conferences on 29th & 30th September. Please go on the Skool Loop App and book your time NOW or ring Kat at the office and she will help you.
- School Photos: These will be on Monday 27th September (weather permitting, pp 28th) Each child will be sent home with a notice to fill in and return. These must be back at school by Friday 24th with payment. This year we have a professional photographer, Lucia Zanmonti who is kindly donating her time to take the photos as a school fundraiser.
Thought for the week
Friendships take work, just like any other relationship, and it's important that we give our children the tools to find good friends and become good friends themselves. Here's how to start.
Teach conflict resolution. Friends don't always agree or get along perfectly, which is why talking to your child about how to make up after an argument or disagreement is key. Accepting responsibility for our own mistakes, apologising, and moving forward in a positive direction are key skills for friendships and relationships in general.
