School Show - Jump on Board! Is tomorrow!! Thursday 12th November. Make sure you have your tickets, and just a gentle reminder that we ask there are no preschoolers at the night performance please (let’s as community, help each other make this possible). There is plenty of room at the afternoon show as this goes to print - pick up your tickets from the school office.

All the students have worked so hard and we are all excited to share the end result!

Athletics: Thanks for the help at both events. The 36 students who are heading to the South Wairarapa event have their notice for Friday 20th and we wish them well.

Swimming: Junior school will start next week Monday 16th. We are thrilled to announce that we were successful in a grant application to the Lions Foundation to get free swimming lessons for every child at South End School this term. We will be transporting the children to the Carterton Indoor pool where they will be in a group of 5 students and a swim coach. This will happen over a 2 week period every school day. A notice has gone home to each junior family.

Pedal Ready: Bike safety this begins for the Year 5-8’s next week too - each child will get a notice in regards to their assigned days to have their bikes at school.

Many thanks to those who were able to support the Pie Fundraiser. We hope you are all enjoying them. The winner's of the Lone Star vouchers this year are: in 1st place the Te Tau family, selling over 100 pies, and in 2nd place the Cotter family - Congratulations! Many thanks to Lone Star, Masterton for their support.

Thought for the week

Friendships take work, just like any other relationship, and it's important that we give our children the tools to find good friends and become good friends themselves. Here's how to start;

Model good friendship behaviour. Our kids observe everything we do, so if they see and hear you reaching out to friends to check in, surrounding yourself with positive, supportive people, and investing time and energy into your friendships, they're likely to do the same.
