A brief overview of my upcoming travel:

Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.”  (Ps. 84:5; NIV)

God continues to speak to me about stepping away from what is familiar, inviting me to join Him in an adventure into the unknown.  This yes to “risky living” definitely takes me out of my “comfort zone” – and is one more opportunity to face into my fears, trusting that Jesus is with me!   The adventure for this year is turning out to be an extended time of travel (which my leaders have released me into for this season).
Dear Pastor Ken,

Time in  Australia (April 5 to 21st):
This unexpected blessing with my Aussie family was definitely a gift, filled with opportunities to soak up the beauty of Australia (the birds, bush, and beach) and significant time with family (a gorgeous wedding, a baby dedication, a seaside holiday, and lots of fun with my great-nieces)!  See my photos:  www.nodsjourney.blogspot.ca

Travel to Ontario (May 17th to June 22nd):
Pray for me as I re-connect with churches, supporters, and friends – and as I coordinate the timing of everything.  There are still many details that need to come together.  (I hope to see many of you in Ontario!)

Back to Scotland (July 11th to Nov. 21st):
I’ve been invited to return to YWAM Seamill and to staff the Leadership Development Course http://www.ywamseamill.org/schools/ldc/(of which I was a part, in Spain, 2014).  I will once again be involved in ministry to YWAM leaders from around the world who have taken time out to be renewed and refreshed in their calling.  I plan to then stay on for an extended time in the UK – which will include some teaching and coaching/spiritual direction for the staff of this YWAM community, time in N. England volunteering at a retreat centre, possibly some debriefing/retreat in Spain, and then returning to Scotland to assist the team in offering a retreat named “Homecoming” to missionaries working in difficult places.  Please pray that all the details for my time away will smoothly come together!

I also have a need for additional finances to cover the extra expenses of this extended travel (flights, rental car in Ontario, health insurance, and living expenses in the UK).  Please pray for God’s provision and prayerfully consider how you could partner with me in this.

Thanksgiving:
My graduation from my course in Spiritual Direction at the end of April was such an encouragement – and an on-going reminder of how God continues to be the One who is at work, despite me.  I will continue to offer Spiritual Direction and Life Coaching while I’m travelling – so that is a blessing.

Last week I also had the privilege of teaching for my team, YWAM Vancouver, in our School of Ministry Leadership Development – on the topic of “Staying Spiritually Healthy” in missions (with a focus on spiritual formation and spiritual disciplines, which I love)!   Being in the classroom was both fun and life-giving for me, and, particularly, in working with an open and receptive group of students.  They enjoyed the variety (all my objects and visuals), the interaction, the amount of Scripture (I love incorporating the Word), my simplistic teaching style, and the opportunity to both reflect and practically engage in my teaching (ie. putting into practice different spiritual disciplines I introduced).  My prayer is that they would learn to do life and ministry out of a place of vibrant relationship with the Lord, abiding in Him and producing much fruit for His Kingdom.

Another personal highlight was having Theresa (our DTS student who was hit by a car when riding her bicycle on Mar. 9th) sitting in on my class.  Her story is one of God’s miraculous and healing power - from questions as to whether she would actually live or be severely brain-damaged (#3 on the brain damage scale) to being fully functioning (both in body and mind) in a relatively short amount of time!  She continues to have some difficulty hearing and will have further brain surgery on May 17th, before returning to Germany – so your prayers are appreciated! It was a real encouragement, last week, to hear her ongoing testimony to God’s faithfulness and goodness in her life.

Thank you, again, for your continued interest in my life and ongoing prayers!
God bless.
Nadine
