We have two great events coming up in the next two weeks that may be of interest to Perth based astronomy fans. The annual astronomy festival 'Astrofest' is back for another year on Saturday March 12th and 'An Evening with Dr Brian Greene', physicist and string theory expert, is on March 16th. We hope to see you there!

Astrofest 2016

Join every astronomy organisation in Perth (and some from beyond) for a festival of epic proportions. Astrofest will be a FREE, engaging celebration of Australian science for the whole family to enjoy. As well as optical and radio telescopes observing throughout the day and night, Astrofest will feature a myriad of interesting, engaging and exciting indoor and outdoor activities. You can also take a look through some of WA’s biggest telescopes, and vote for your favourite in the Astrophotography competition.
Preregister to go into the draw for some great prizes!

An Evening with Dr Brian Greene

Presented by Think Inc, witness the famed physicist illuminate the elusive yet exhilarating endeavours of string theory, the importance of keeping science integral at the forefronts of educational systems, and the challenges of crunching complex concepts for general audiences.
