I would like to send a special THANK YOU to everyone involved with the Micheline GT Challenge round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the Biscuitville Grand Prix Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge . . . the fans, the sponsors, the competitors, the officials and of course our revered VIR staff. Everyone pulled together to produce an exciting event which everyone seemed to enjoy whether they were working or playing. I absolutely love it when I am walking around the property talking to people and a fan will jump out and exclaim "I BROUGHT MY FRIEND!" I shake their hands and thank them and tell the friend to bring another friend next year. It happens a lot and that is how we spread the good word about sportscar racing one fan at a time. As I always say, "Come back, come often, and bring your friends!" And you do. Thank you! Connie

“DRIVE! Iconic American Cars and Motorcycles”

ROANOKE, Va. (July 26, 2018) — Some call them rolling sculptures, others the shape of speed. Ever since the first Model T rolled off Henry Ford’s production line, Americans have had an undeniable love affair with all things automotive. They are far more than forms of transportation; they are transformative works of art. Few can imagine Steve McQueen without his fast cars and motorcycles, after all. Beginning this fall, guests can fall in love again with the cars and motorcycles that defined the first half of the 20th century with the opening of DRIVE! Iconic American Cars and Motorcycles, presented by Advance Auto Parts and on view at the Taubman Museum of Art Sept. 8, 2018-Feb. 3, 2019. A special member preview day is scheduled for Sept. 7, click here for more information
