Affordable Art Fair New York City 2013 Spring edition
Our latest spring edition wrapped Sunday, April 8th — our most successful U.S. fair to date! Sixteen thousand of you attended the fair to view and purchase original, contemporary paintings, sculptures and photographs presented by our 82 galleries at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. In addition to blockbuster attendance, our participating galleries made over $4 million worth of artwork sales over the four-and-a-half-day period; another record-breaking high.

Melding contemporary art and fun, the fair showcased work by hundreds of artists, as well as several large-scale art-installations, and offered daily talks and tours which made the fair a perfect day out for so many New Yorkers and their families. Bringing a fresh energy and aesthetic to the fair, 40% of the galleries that participated were new, having not shown at past NYC editions. Yet more, 10% of the fair was comprised of a new influx of galleries from Korea, China and Japan, bringing a wide variety of work that was also new to the NYC fair.

Proving that the fair is truly a place to see and been seen, interior designer and TV personality, Thom Filicia, attended on opening night and engaged visitors with a Q&A session and signing of his new book, American Beauty: Renovating & Decorating a Beloved Retreat. In addition, the fair entertained a few more bold-faced names including Hunger Games' Elizabeth Banks, House of Cards' Corey Stoll and New York Mets' Executive Vice President, David Cohen.

Media also zeroed in on the fair, and we were featured in several local and national media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Town & Country, Daily Candy, MarthaStewart.com, New York Magazine's Home Design, Gotham, Huffington Post, Time Out New York Kids, Newsday, CBS New York, Racked, Eater, New York Family, Star-Ledger, Where Magazine, Village Voice, Complex, Apartment Therapy, DNA Info and Examiner. Editors and producers from top-tier media outlets such as ABC, CBS News, CNBC, CNN, Conde Nast Traveler, Fox Extra, InStyle, Luxe Interiors + Design, Nylon Guys, OWN Magazine, Time Magazine, TODAY and Vanity Fair also dropped by!

We will host the fall edition October 2–6 at The Tunnel in Chelsea, with even more excitement in store — We look forward to seeing you again soon! For more information please visit www.affordableartfair.com/newyork
