Stradbroke Half-Marathon - Run or Walk
Due to the continually changing advice about just how many people are allowed on guided walks it has been decided to postpone the event until spring next year. Keep a look-out on the website and the newsletters for further details after Christmas. The event is likely to be titled “The Late-Late 2020 Half-Marathon.”

Parish Council:
Following the recent resignations of 6 Parish Councillors; Don Darling, Stuart Gemmill, Pam Cane, Dennis Merritt, Peter Smith and Gillian Rennie-Dunkerley there are vacancies on the Council. Further information can be found on the PC website - https://www.stradbrokepc.org/

Stradbroke Cinema
Cinema nights will begin again on Thursday 17th September with the showing of the Personal History of David Copperfield. A light hearted comedy to help lift the spirits after lockdown. Social distancing will be maintained with careful spacing of all the seating and there will be no interval. A cashless system has been introduced on entry and at the bar, we will only accept cash if you do not have a credit or debit card. Stradbroke Swimming Pool

Learn: 
Learn is delighted to announce that Mark Mitchels is returning to Stradbroke on October 14th to give a talk about Edward Elgar (further information on the website in due course).  This will be our first outing since lockdown so we are very pleased that Mark is launching our new season   We shall shortly be issuing our latest newsletter giving full details of future events so if you would like to have your name added to our mailing list please email gillianrenniedunkerley@hotmail.com

Theft of garden machinery
 A number of lawnmowers have been stolen and a vehicle with the items still in was then left in the centre of the village and discovered by the Police. Take care to keep sheds and other out-buildings secure.

Village Gardens
The Stradbroke Trust would like to politely remind people that the parking spaces are for allotment holders and trustees only. Two other spaces are reserved for the owners of Drapers Hill Farmhouse.
