Stradbroke Online Newsletter - 15/06/20
Dear <<First Name>>

As the lockdown restrictions are eased more shops in neighbouring towns and villages will be re-opening as will National Trust and English Heritage gardens. We have the opportunity to get out more and support other local businesses, but let’s not forget our wonderful local firms.

Thanksgiving Street  Party

Thankyou to all those readers who responded to our last newsletter. Your views were much appreciated and as a consequence, at the recent Parish Council meeting, it was agreed to work with the Community Centre to pursue the idea of a Street Party and other events in the centre of the village. This will be a long term project which will only be implemented when government guidelines permit. Our aim is to give thanks to all those who have put their lives at risk for the benefit of others – Nurses, Doctors, Care-homes etc. More locally we would also like to give thanks to those that have kept us supplied with almost everything we need during lockdown by applauding the efforts of our  local shops, businesses and services within the village.
If anyone would like to be involved with this project then feel free to get in touch, either by reply to this newsletter or by contacting Jane Merritt (388382) or James Hargrave (384405) directly

Stradbroke Footpaths
Dennis Merritt (our footpath warden) has produced another guided walk around the village, details of which you can find here. This time just a gentle 2.75 mile stroll. Two new permissive footpaths will be opened shortly. Full details will be posted on the website and in the next newsletter.
