As we get used to the new norm many organisations are developing their own way of continuing their activities within the constraints of government guidelines. This is evident from the various activities that we can report on in this newsletter
Community Centre Update
Following the latest government guidleines there has been some confusion as to arrangements at the Centre. It is a Covid secure environment and as such activities can continue subject to social distancing – the limit of 6 people does not apply.
Table tennis
This has resumed on Wednesday evenings. New members always welcome , young and old. Enquiries to Tony Potts or 384248.
Chair based exercises for the Elderly. Classes are running again on Monday afternoons enquiries to Lisa Kippen or 07887 613042
Yoga classes have resumed on Tuesday evenings. Enquiries to Sylvia Gibbons
Stradbroke Cinema
The Personal History of David Copperfield is the first film of the new season showing on Thursday 17th September. There are only a few tickets left, please buy your tickets online - here - to avoid queuing or disappointment. 
The Writing Group, WI, Wine Society have all resumed their meetings and we hope other groups including Everyone Active fitness classes will all re-commence in the near future.

Border Hoppa

Borderhoppa are pleased to announce that their full dial-a-ride service is back up and running. It has been a long period of uncertainty for everyone but they are now able to once again provide transport around the local area for our members.Seating will be limited for a while to allow for social distancing and passengers are asked to use the hand sanitisers provided on the vehicles and to wear face masks, also, where possible, have the correct change for your fair.

Many of you may have noticed a change in hairstyle with one of the team in  our Spar shop. Nicola Harvey has bravely chosen to shave her head to raise money for Cancer Research. If you would like to donate in recognition of Nicola’s bravery or madness and support the charity please go to baldy-locks

The Cricket Club has been able to play a few friendly matches and the next home game is the Presidents Match on Sunday 20th September starting at 12 midday. Spectators very welcome.
Broadband – the Parish Council has launched a survey to help determine the demand for a better service in Stradbroke. The survey can be found: here
