Holiday Party!

Last call about the Neighborhood Holiday Party at the Plains Conservation Center on Sunday, December 7 from 2PM – 4PM.  One of the event sponsors is MCGC Neighbors, and the PCC is one of our Membership Partners.

There will be entertainment for the kids with making recycled ornaments for your tree.  Why don't you consider bringing some of your special items that you would like to see recycled via an ornament?

You will have the opportunity to interact with Dr. Jeffrey Su, Executive Director for the PCC, as he talks about his recent trip to Zimbabwe and South Africa and what he learned about the importance of saving our short grass prairie.

There will be hot cider, egg nog (spiced for adults), and holiday cookies and treats. And, there will drawings for prizes and giveaways. This will be a fun family event to include as part of your holiday plans!

HOA Homeowner Meeting

HOA Annual Meeting

Tuesday, December 9 from 6PM – 8PM is Murphy Creek’s Annual Meeting at the Community Center.  You can sign in between 6PM and 6:30PM.

The community’s budget for 2015 will be discussed and ratified beginning at 6:30PM, and the Annual HOA Meeting will begin at 7PM.

This will be a great opportunity to learn more about how our dues are spent and hear updates from the Social Committee, district security, current/future build-out status, and community management issues.

Leslie Core-Drevecky - Murphy Creek Golf Pro

Golfing News

Leslie Core-Drevecky, the head professional golfer at our Murphy Creek Golf Course, has recently made some history by becoming the first female president of the board of directors for the Colorado Section of the Colorado PGA.  Leslie was sworn in last month for a two-year term.

Before leaving for the PGA annual meeting in Indianapolis this week, she is quoted as saying, “I’m excited and humbled.  I want to provide encouragement for other females to get involved.  Hopefully we’ll bring more ladies into the game.  (With fewer) than 25% of golfers being women, we’ve got a lot of work to do.”

Ladies, if you are thinking about trying out golf or want to improve your game, check with the Golf Pro, Leslie Core-Drevecky, at our Murphy Creek Golf Course.

Community Pool Survey
Community Pool Survey

The Murphy Creek management company has asked us to help get the word out about their Community Pool Survey - please see below.

The Board has been asked to consider extending the closing date on the community pool to a few weeks after the Labor Day Holiday.

There is also an option to close the pool an hour earlier (8pm) every evening, which would allow the Board to use those saved funds for extending the pool hours a few extra weeks.

The Board would like to poll the owners to see what options you would prefer before a decision is made.

You will have to login to the HOA website in order to complete the survey. If you don't have a login, please email Liz to register. Click here to take the survey. Deadline is December 8.
Social Committee's Santa Breakfast

Arrival of Santa!

Santa is coming to town!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 13, at the Tavern.  Santa will be visiting with all your kids and telling stories between 9AM and 10:30 AM.

You should also plan to purchase a pancake breakfast from the Tavern.  It gets crowded, so place your reservations early with the Tavern at 303-361-7310.

Don't forget your phone or camera so you can capture some of those priceless moments of your kids with Santa.

Sponsored by the Social Committee, this is a fun family event for the neighborhood and a great way to add some HoHoHo to your holidays.
