Meetings Update

Candidate Forum

The Candidate Forum on Monday night was very well attended!  Questions were collected from the audience on a wide variety of topics, and all the candidates got their opportunities to respond.  There were some good answers; there were some non-answers; and there were some answers that required some research.

In fact, there were so many questions submitted that they couldn't all be addressed in the time allowed.  To their credit, the candidates (more...)

Annexation Study Meeting

The Annexation Study meeting last night was very informative for the 20 - 30 people who attended.  At MCGC Neighbors' request, Karen Hancock, City Planning Supervisor, graciously agreed to have a presentation with a question and answer period, as well as an Open House, and we thank her for that!

The Open House posters were helpful to view, but the majority of the people were definitely there for the presentation and the question and answer period.  In fact, had it not been for the question and answer period, the City would not have known that one landowner, who is located in the middle of the study area, had never received her notification letter.

We learned that, even though (more...)

Oil and Gas Well Plots

Well Plots

One of our subscribers, Jack Dougherty, a retired engineer with oil and gas experience, has been researching the well applications as they are submitted and sending his comments to the city.

In an effort to determine where ConocoPhillips thinks the most plentiful resources are, Jack has created a map that shows the top and bottom locations of the proposed nearby well sites and the well flow paths under the surface.

He has been kind enough to share that map with us, and you can see it here.

Don't forget the deadline for public comments on the new 6 well pad is Friday, October 9, 2015.  View the documents here, and submit your comments here.  If you miss the deadline or have questions, please email Sarah Wieder.
