Burnaby Neighbourhood House

We are ready for spring! What happened these past few weeks? The Burnaby Firefighters served pancake breakfast by donation at the 'Walk with the Mayor' event, our BNH preschoolers took the opportunity to pose with cherry blossom trees and blowing bubbles, and our community garden received lumber to make new garden beds!

As restrictions continue to ease, we are opening up more in-person programs. See what is

Income Tax Clinics

Online registrations are open!

Need some help preparing your tax return? Volunteers can help Burnaby residents complete income tax returns for low income earners.

Environmental Art Display Attendant
Duration:
February 23rd to April 30th
at Metropolis at Metrotown

Metropolis at Metrotown's Washed Ashore Art Exhibit is an environmental exhibit that features large sculptures of ocean animals created from waste recycled from the Pacific Ocean. BNH is looking for volunteer attendants for this exhibition. See poster for more details.

All families with children aged 0-5 years are welcome to join our In-person and virtual family place for circle time, books, and a wide variety of children activities that support your child’s development.

Foundations of Leadership (Grades 8-9)

Foundations offers a strong base of theoretical and practical leadership skills. Youth spend time making connections, learning about our community while also doing volunteer work that supports Neighbourhood House programs. See poster for details.

PATH Youth Employment Program

BNH Food Hubs

With funding from the United Way Local Love campaign we are now the South and North Food Hubs for Burnaby. This includes coordination for food security issues for Burnaby residents who are experiencing food insecurity. Burnaby residents and service providers can contact us for more information on available food resources.

Family Outreach Support

Our Family Outreach Workers are always here for Burnaby families with children 0-12 years old.  Our services phone check-ins, connections to local community resources and programs, grocery/food security for low-income families.

Seniors Outreach Support

We are taking self-referrals as well as referrals from BC211 and community agencies for Burnaby seniors.  Our services include phone check-ins, grocery shopping and other essentials for seniors who can pay, and food security for low income seniors.
