January was about art. Local artists came together and created the Stride Burnaby Arts Festival, from visual arts - where anyone in the area can witness art installations and murals - to musical performances, where communities from afar were able to participate on the digital platform. What we found is that art creates a more connected community, where individuals of different backgrounds share a common experience, learn new perspectives, and understand one another better. Thank you to all those who participated in the Festival.
Now let's see what else is happening this month!
