Astonishing women

"I continue to think that the women of Palestine are truly astonishing.  When the day comes that they can take their place on the world stage, they will have so much to contribute."  note with donation to Women's Empowerment projects

We love our land

The success of PFTA’s micro-grant project goes beyond improving a family's income. As an artist, new Model Regenerative Farmer Hanin sees working the land as a kind of art. To Hanin, living on her own land is wujood – existence. “We inherited our land from our ancestor -- we did not buy it with money; and want to pass it to our children,” Hanin said. “The land is our child, and we’re its children.”

We are resilient

Agriculture represents Palestinian national history and identity, with pride in their soil and its capacity for self-sufficiency. In 2014, Vivien Sansour founded the Palestinian Heirloom Seed Library to  “find and preserve ancient seed varieties and traditional farming practices.”  “The main function of the library isn’t for the seeds to stay in one place,” she says. “The main function of the library is for the seeds to stay alive in the fields of farmers.”
