XOCO Dark Chocolate Imperial Golden Ale On Tap
A few months ago, Marou Chocolate approached us and asked if we would be interested in brewing a beer with their dark chocolate. We jumped at the opportunity and brewed an imperial golden ale using Marou dark chocolate and cocoa nibs. The result, XOCO, is now on tap at our tap room. XOCOâ€™s golden color is blanketed with a soft hue of chocolate. Cocoa nibs added during aging impart a nutty chocolate aroma, followed by a Vietnamese cocoa flavor. The beer finishes with a subdued boozy flavor, making for a very drinkable 9.2% ABV high gravity ale.
XOCO will also be part of a Right Brain Brewery tap take over Saturday, July 30th, at Hofbrau in Interlochen, MI. Representatives from Marou Chocolate will also be in attendance, pairing their chocolate with XOCO. For more information, please visit http://hofbrausteakhouse.com.
