Right Brain Wins Traverse City IPA Challenge
On Thursday, November 3rd, our brewing staff celebrated a big victory by winning the Traverse City Ale Trail IPA Challenge. The IPA challenge is a local competition between eight Traverse City breweries. Each brewery produced their “Best IPA” and submitted it to the event, where 200 beer lovers blindly sampled each beer and voted for their favorite.
Our winning beer submission is a new recipe called Dead(er) Kettle double India pale ale. Clocking in at 8% ABV, Dead(er) Kettle follows the same ingredient structure as its little brother, Dead Kettle IPA, however, Right Brain brewers turned up the heat and amped up the alcohol content.
Dead(er) Kettle IPA is on tap at our pub now, and is expected to make a 12 oz bottle debut in the near future as part of a high gravity IPA series. Stay tuned for more hopped up details!
