Universal's Scott Stuber Headed to Netflix?
Scott Stuber, former production chief at Universal Pictures is reportedly talking with Netflix about coming on as an executive producer for their feature film unit. Stuber is also in talks with Viacom to possibly head Paramount Pictures. The Netflix job, may give Stuber more autonomy to make movies and broaden his portfolio, while the Paramount job could involve a greenlight committee that would include Bakish and others.
SnapChat Prices Shares at $27
According to Reuters, Snap Inc., the maker of Snapchat, will be selling its shares for $17 a piece when it starts trading on the New York Stock Exchange tomorrow morning. This places the company’s valuation at $24 billion, and allowed it to raise around $3.4 billion in funding. The company told financial regulators earlier this year that it intends to sell 200 million class A shares, that will come without voting rights.
Facebook's Oculus Cuts Price of Virtual Reality Headset
The Oculus Rift will now sell bundled with two Touch controllers for $598. In the past, the headset alone was priced at $600, and to get their hands on controllers, consumers had to pay another $200. Consumers will now have the option to buy the Rift headset on its own for $499, or add Touch controllers to their existing Rift setup for $99.
Facebook Video Now Available on Apple TV
Facebook Video has launched on the fourth-generation Apple TV now letting users watch live and on-demand videos on their HDTVs. The free Facebook app will let users watch videos from their friends and from Pages they follow. Facebook will also display recommended videos based on users interests, as well videos that are trending on Facebook at any given time.
 
Vice Media Cuts Mobile Deals in Multiple Territories

Twitter Adds Mute and Filter Features to Limit Abusive Accounts
Twitter took another step to shut down annoying users on its service, introducing a number of new mute and filtering features that will help users to silence any potential abusively annoying accounts.Twitter users will now be able to filter out notifications from accounts that could have been set up specifically for harassment, like accounts without profile pictures, or from unverified email addresses.
Facebook Adds Suicide-Prevention Tools After Recent Live-Streamed Deaths 
Due to the recent spikes in live-streamed deaths, Facebook announced it will be adding suicide-prevention tools directly into Facebook Live. This will give users watching a live-video the option to reach out to the person directly or report the video to Facebook. Facebook will also provide resources to the person who reports the live-video including the immediate access to a help line.
